IN A STRANGE LAND is a collection of four original short stories which provide teachers with motivating and engaging classroom material at the CEFR B2 to C1 level. This gripping young adult fiction encourages readers to use their imagination and interact with the texts. The stories in the companion book are supported by creative tasks in which students can integrate all their language skills, use computer technology, practise learning strategies and exercise autonomy.
The recordings are designed to enhance the learning experience and provide greater scope for language learning activities. However, the stories can also be listened to for pleasure, since each story is complete in itself and uses language which is lively and entertaining but also accessible to learners of English and young adults.
This Audio CD contains recordings of the following two stories:
Don’t Go In by Hanna c. Floyd, read by Michael Butler
Merlin by Susan Dean, read by Mary Whiteside
Running time: 44 minutes
The remaining stories are available separately on CD 1 of this series.
